The homeowners of this 1940s ranch house wanted a home that was creative, hip and full of energy. They also needed more space and better technology for their family of four. We added a simple cube to the front, creating a master suite with a rooftop hatch. We also added a covered porch of wood and concrete, with a large pivot door and sidelights to let in the western light.
