When Axiom got on board this was a dated home with stunning views west toward the San Juans. The homeowners were hoping to achieve a casual modern beach house design that would get people outside. With a rickety boat dock, a rodent problem and a failing deck, going outside required a bit of bravery. We gave this rather spacious home a makeover to die for with a Zincalume metal roof, new flooring, all new electrical fixtures, and updated savvy bathrooms. Every square inch of wall, wood and casing was brightened up with paint—mostly white. The exterior was also brought to life with white paint, Ipe decking, cable railing, landscaping, a spa pool, and a steel and wood dock for boating.
