Lake Washington Waterfront Remodel
2025 saw the completion of this stunning home remodel on Lake Washington. After purchasing the home, Axiom Design Build was hired to transform the older Mediterranean-style residence into a warm, modern lakefront retreat. Confronted with heavy finishes, banks of narrow windows and doors, and closed-off rooms that didn’t take advantage of its incredible views, Axiom's design team reimagined the floor plan with wider openings, elegantly arched transitions, and expansive black-framed windows that bring in natural light and create seamless sightlines across the main floor.
The kitchen was fully redesigned with custom cabinetry, a large waterfall-edge island, and a sculptural metal range hood, giving the space a refined and functional centerpiece. Large accordion style doors now open the dining and kitchen areas directly to the lake, allowing for effortless indoor–outdoor living and year-round entertaining. Even the pantry/beverage station incorporated a passthrough window, adding a fun touch for keeping hosts and guests connected.
Throughout the home, we blended modern finishes with subtle Mediterranean details—soft neutrals, warm wood tones, exposed beams, and layered textures—to create a cohesive and inviting atmosphere. Updated furnishings and layout changes give the living spaces a comfortable flow while keeping the water as the constant focal point.
Outside, the terrace and upper decks were refreshed with new surfaces, lighting, and railings, enhancing both curb appeal and everyday use.
The result is a luxury waterfront remodel that feels brighter, more connected to the lake, and perfectly tailored to modern living in the Pacific Northwest.
