This Seattle home sits on the West edge of Queen Anne Hill with views of Puget Sound and Elliot Bay. When the owners purchased the house it was dilapidated and in such poor shape that some buyers considered it a tear down; but they really wanted to salvage as much as they could. In order to maximize square footage as well as basement height, we raised the house onto a new foundation and added-on to the back. We reclaimed flooring, kept one bathroom intact, relocated the kitchen and created a light-filled, charming home, with an ode to its original builder.
